Bring on 2020

Happy New Year! I am very much looking forward to 2020 – a new beginning. My personal goal for this year is to become a healthier and happier person. I am going to make several changes that will have a lasting impact on my physical and mental health, and I will share some with you on Hard Alee.

For my online world, there will be a number of important changes.

More

Work: I will be sharing more work-related posts in 2020. Online blogging is a very crowded space. There are SO MANY fashion and lifestyle bloggers, and I love and follow many of them. What I can bring to the table is a little different. I’ve been working “Corporate America” for over eleven years now, and I have a real passion for helping women in the workplace.

In fact, I am currently working on a product to do just that. I’ve been working on it for almost a year, but I had to put it on ice to take care of some personal business. I am trying my very best to get it out by February.

Wellness: Over the past year, I have become very interested in learning more about individualized medicine, which is what I believe to be the future of healthcare. To start, Eric and I ordered a Viome kit the other day. Why? Because, as per the website:

Additionally, I ordered The 10-Day Reset from Sakara, and I am super excited to start once I get back from my National Sales Meeting in Boca. I travel for work, so I won’t be able to follow the meal plan exactly, unfortunately, but I am going to do my absolute best. I will let you know how it goes.

Clothes: I don’t need anymore clothes. I have too many clothes, and it makes me feel extremely guilty. I often donate things to people I know like family members, friends, babysitters, our house cleaners, and that makes me feel a little better, but still, it’s a problem.

I also don’t really feel great about constantly encouraging other people to buy more and more clothes, and my fashion posts are still super fluffy and uninspiring. I am still just throwing up crappy posts just to churn out content – fail.

I have several more brand-new things to post and blog about, but after that, most of the fashion content this year will be about rewearing and reimagining what I already own.

If you are reading this, it’s probably because you have been following along for a bit. You know that my style is pretty classic and traditional, which means a lot of things I like never go out of style. I really shouldn’t need to buy many new things each year.

2019?

Why no 2019 recap like so many other bloggers? Because to be honest, I am really glad 2019 is over. For me, it was a year with many highs and many really low lows. I am going to try to remember the best and forget the rest. Good. Bye. 👋🏻
