Hi, everyone! I hope you all had a relaxing holiday season. It’s always difficult to get back into the swing of things, and I hope you started the year off right! Usually for New Year’s, we go snowboarding or to a house party with friends, but this year, we went on a little family vacation to Maine. Maine is a beautiful place with a lot to do. It is no surprise it is called “Vacationland.” There are beautiful, coastal towns; mountain and lakeside escapes; and tiny, friendly cities. The highlights of our trip were visiting Portland Head Light in Cape Elizabeth and the original L.L. Bean in Freeport with college friends, and walking around and dining in Old Port in downtown Portland. Old Port is a great area with many, fantastic restaurants and several, charming shops and gift stores. I can’t wait to go back when it’s warm!

What did you do for New Year’s?
