‘Tis the season for friends and family, and I couldn’t be more excited to partner with Talbots for their Holiday Friends and Family Event! Talbots is always one of my first stops for clothing and accessories, because they have an excellent array of classic wardrobe staples and fun pieces that have a modern twist. I am constantly checking out their stores and website for newly added styles for work and the weekend.

If you’ve been following for a while, you know that Talbots is one of my go-to places for work clothing. Their dresses and blazers are perfect for my business formal work life, but for this series, I decided to showcase two weekends styles, because it is the holiday season after all!

So for my first post, I am sharing this casual winter outfit. Fair isle sweaters have been a constant in my wardrobe for years. They are a winter weather must-have, and when I saw this one, I had to have it!

Two things about this sweater really standout to me. First, the style is so unique and festive. Even though you don’t see the traditional red and green here, the colors go together so well – the blues, berry, blush, and cream.

Second, the material is so soft and feminine, which is atypical for a fair isle sweater. Usually, they are thick and bulky, sometimes itchy from the wool. This sweater is thinner, but still warm and of high quality. There is no doubt I will be wearing this sweater for many cold seasons to come.
